Everything the anchors say on this tape, story by story.
GRANT BRICKMAN: The DCU's Batman is still uncast, but James Gunn says that is about to change.
GRANT BRICKMAN: Good evening. Now the full story: the DCU's Batman, a man famous for wearing a cape, still has nobody to wear it. ▶
GRETA FOOTNOTE: James Gunn said on his podcast that Batman isn't cast yet, but it won't be too long. Roxy is at the drive-in. ▶
ROXY: Roxy Reel at the drive-in! Gunn says Batman isn't very far away from being cast. Clayface just played in Gotham, and still no Batman. Rude! ▶
ROXY: Gunn waves off the rumours about who shows up in this or that. Nobody is cast, he says, by the way. ▶
ROXY: Rolling the Clayface reel: Gotham, moody streets, and a very conspicuous gap where a caped hero would stand. ▶
ROXY: He wants the best actor for the role, and the headline says around Superman's age. Three and a half reels for the suspense. I cry at trailers; I'll cry at this. ▶
GRANT BRICKMAN: Same age as Superman. Casting a Batman is like setting the VCR timer: everyone is sure it's done, and then you find a blank tape. ▶
GRETA FOOTNOTE: No name, no date, and the report gives neither. Just a producer saying soon. ▶
GRETA FOOTNOTE: The animated Bloodborne film now has a writer and a director, and nobody will say who.
GRANT BRICKMAN: Now the full story on the Bloodborne film. Vera, I'm told it's a moving picture based on a video game. Is that legal? ▶
GRETA FOOTNOTE: We first told you this afternoon that the animated film has a writer and director attached. Now the details. ▶
DR. VERA VECTOR: GamesRadar reports that producer Seán McLoughlin, known as Jacksepticeye, says the animated Bloodborne film now has a writer and a director attached. ▶
DR. VERA VECTOR: It was announced in April. The producer told IGN that things are much more along the pipeline than they were back then. ▶
GRANT BRICKMAN: A pipeline. So it's a plumbing story as well. Who is the director, Vera? ▶
DR. VERA VECTOR: That is the open part. The director and the writer are both unnamed. The article says the story is thought to be an original tale in FromSoftware's gothic universe. ▶
DR. VERA VECTOR: The producer says there is a lot more mapped out, and hopes announcements about who is involved come sooner rather than later. No date given. ▶
GRETA FOOTNOTE: So the cast of the announcement is a mystery, and so is the announcement. Roxy, you have thoughts. ▶
GRANT BRICKMAN: I'll believe it when I see the writer's name. Until then it's a rumour with a pipeline. ▶
GRETA FOOTNOTE: The producer promised more news, not a schedule. We'll know who's involved when they say so. ▶
THE SWINGOMETER (PXL)
GRANT BRICKMAN: We count GitHub's trending page by language, and TypeScript is in front.
GRANT BRICKMAN: Good evening, and welcome to The Swingometer. Eleven slots on GitHub's trending page, every one of them counted. ▶
DR. VERA VECTOR: TypeScript holds five of the eleven slots, a forty-five percent share, up two against yesterday. ▶
DR. VERA VECTOR: Shell has two slots, eighteen percent, unchanged. Python has one slot, nine percent, unchanged. Rust has one slot, nine percent, down two. ▶
GRANT BRICKMAN: Rust down two! Dana, the shell is also in the running. Is that a seafood story? I never know with the AI. ▶
GRETA FOOTNOTE: Shell is a scripting language, Grant. And it did not move. ▶
GRANT BRICKMAN: A swing of two! Back in the studio we'd call that a teletext page that refreshed. ▶
GRETA FOOTNOTE: That's the count. TypeScript up two, Rust down two, everyone else where they were. Back to you, Grant. ▶
