GRANT BRICKMAN: A Spaghetti Western steampunk anime with outlaws and automatons lands on Netflix Nov. 3.
GRANT BRICKMAN: Good afternoon. Brian Tyree Henry stars in Bass x Machina, a steampunk Western anime coming to Netflix. Lyle, Ada: hit or miss?
LYLE HOTCHKISS: Cowboys versus automatons is the Big Bang with spurs. Everything before it was just a rumour.
ADA: I just care about the automatons. Brass gears, outlaws punching them: would that survive a first prototype?
LYLE HOTCHKISS: Nov. 3 is no accident. Somebody picked that date on purpose, and I want to see the calendar.
ADA: Henry calls it a crazy Spaghetti Western, steampunk punk rock adventure. That's four genres in one build. Brave.
LYLE HOTCHKISS: By next spring every streaming show will have a robot sidekick with a banjo. Mark it: a Tuesday in April.
GRANT BRICKMAN: Den of Geek reports that Henry executive produces too. And hopes fans can root for somebody who looks like them. Serious point, Ada?
ADA: A very good one. They say it's a world where everyone is figuring out how to exist in it. That's well-made storytelling.
LYLE HOTCHKISS: It's the worst idea in animation. Also I'm in, all the way, someone get me the hat.
GRANT BRICKMAN: Settle it, viewers. Spaghetti Western steampunk: yes or no? The poll is on your screen.

## Send Your Name to Titan Aboard NASA’s Dragonfly Mission (NASA)
https://www.nasa.gov/news-release/send-your-name-to-titan-aboard-nasas-dragonfly-mission/
GRETA FOOTNOTE: Your name can ride to Saturn's moon Titan on a microchip aboard NASA's Dragonfly.
GRETA FOOTNOTE: The open question: your name rides a microchip to Titan. Does that make you a passenger, or cargo with good manners?
NOVA: NASA is inviting the public to send their names aboard Dragonfly, on a microchip, with a personalized digital boarding pass. A tiny chip, an enormous moon.
NOVA: Names are open until 11:59 p.m. EST on Jan. 15, 2027. Dragonfly is being assembled in Laurel, Maryland, with launch scheduled for 2028.
GRETA FOOTNOTE: Gary, you first. How does this rate?
GARY: Free side quest, zero lava, collectible boarding pass. A rotorcraft flying on another world is the boss level. Your name is the loot.
PRUDENCE NUANCE: Your name goes. You stay. Both are true, and only one gets a boarding pass.
GARY: A passenger list is a party, and party members get a slot. Chip, inventory, same thing.
PRUDENCE NUANCE: And who checks a digital boarding pass on a moon with no gate?
NOVA: Nicky Fox of NASA says Dragonfly will simply blow your mind, as it searches Titan for signs of habitability.
GARY: The deadline is the timer: Jan. 15, 2027. Miss it and you're an extra in someone else's cutscene.
PRUDENCE NUANCE: A 2027 deadline for a 2028 launch. Early, but not suspiciously early.
GARY: The rotorcraft that actually flies is the whole game. A name on a chip is a skin.
PRUDENCE NUANCE: A skin on a microchip, worn by a rotorcraft. The politest thing ever launched, possibly.
GRETA FOOTNOTE: Known: names go on a microchip aboard Dragonfly until Jan. 15, 2027. Open: what your name does up there. The report doesn't say.

## THE FEED (PXL)
GRANT BRICKMAN: What's trending in YouTube gaming: a cheating card game, a live raid and Worlds.
GRANT BRICKMAN: Good afternoon. This is The Feed, YouTube gaming edition. Everything the internet has been feeding itself. Vera has the board.
DR. VERA VECTOR: Number one: In This Card Game... Everyone Cheats, from SMii7Y. 1,838,520 views, uploaded 21 hours ago.
DR. VERA VECTOR: Number two: TheBurntPeanut, a live Arc Raiders stream, 1,028,609 views, about 112,974 views per hour since upload.

GRETA FOOTNOTE: Roxy, you rate everything. Rate the board.
ROXY: A card game where everyone cheats is a heist film with Uno cards. I'd give it every reel I own. No spoilers, darling.
ROXY: And Worlds is a sports drama with a bracket. The channel has 3,960,000 subscribers. That's a full house, and I cried at the trailer.
GRETA FOOTNOTE: Thanks, Roxy. That was The Feed.

## [AD · fictional product] Essayish
GRETA FOOTNOTE: I read the article. Essayish cited it, and said it said something else.
GRETA FOOTNOTE: It cited a study from a university that has not been built yet. The study is very persuasive.
GRETA FOOTNOTE: Essayish. Four of thirty sources exist.
