GRANT BRICKMAN: Arduino's UNO Q contest has winners, and one of them watches your water in real time.
GRANT BRICKMAN: Good afternoon. Arduino and its partners have picked winners for Invent the Future, and Ada is out asking the public. Ada?
ADA: Thanks, Grant! The contest drew 4,028 registrants, all building on the UNO Q board. Let's ask the street what they would build.
PASSERBY: Four thousand people signed up? I can't finish a Lego set. I'd build a plant waterer that texts me.
ADA: There were 1,202 hardware applications, and it came down to 153 final project submissions. Lots of soldering behind those numbers.
PASSERBY: Best Social Impact went to the Smart Water Guardian AI. It watches temperature, pH and turbidity. I had to look up turbidity.
ADA: Cloudiness of the water! It reads sensors in real time and does the AI part on the board itself, using Arduino App Lab.
PASSERBY: Water quality sounds like a good thing to monitor. Better than my fridge, which I monitor mostly by fear.
GRANT BRICKMAN: Thank you, Ada. I assume the Q stands for quality.
GRETA FOOTNOTE: The report doesn't say. It does promise a spotlight on more contest submissions in the coming days.

## After 20 Years, ‘Bleach’ Has Come to an Elegant, Exhausting, Fitting Finale (io9 (Gizmodo))

GRETA FOOTNOTE: Bleach has ended after twenty years, and the review says elegant, exhausting and fitting.
GRETA FOOTNOTE: Good afternoon. Bleach has ended after twenty years. We first told you Thursday 08:16, today, so this is for viewers just joining.
GRANT BRICKMAN: Bleach. Roxy, is this a laundry story?
ROXY: Darling, no! It's Thousand-Year Blood War, final cour The Calamity, from Pierrot Films. I'm in the lobby asking the street.
PASSERBY: I started watching in 2004 and I'm finishing now. Elegant? Yes. Exhausting? Also yes.
ROXY: That is the review's own verdict: exhilarating and exhausting. Ichigo Kurosaki, substitute Soul Reaper, gets his ending.
PASSERBY: I like the English voice, Johnny Yong Bosch. My cousin says the Japanese one, Masakazu Morita, is better.
ROXY: The review credits both, and I won't pick. Four reels out of five from me, and yes, I cried at the trailer.
PASSERBY: Never watched it. I heard it's the coolest of the Big Three. Which are the other two?
GRETA FOOTNOTE: The report doesn't name them. Thank you, Roxy.

## Pixels in Brief (PXL)
GRANT BRICKMAN: Four quick headlines, from Vulcan to a very old game pad.
GRETA FOOTNOTE: Quick round. ULA aims to fly Vulcan again on Friday, November 13, with 40 Amazon Leo satellites. Bold date.
GRETA FOOTNOTE: Scientists found a weakened brain signal that may link several symptoms of schizophrenia, per ScienceDaily.
GRETA FOOTNOTE: A writer bought three SideWinder pads, Microsoft's first controller, to test them on modern PCs. Backups.
GRETA FOOTNOTE: Elektronik Praxis says fine CO2 snow cleans surfaces for wire bonding in chips. Very chill.

## [AD · fictional product] Snoutwell Ball Launcher
BILLY MAYHEM: Is your arm tired of fetch? Meet the Snoutwell Ball Launcher! One button, and the ball goes everywhere!
BILLY MAYHEM: Watch! The dog is fetching! The dog is still fetching! The ball is on the neighbour's roof! But wait, there's more!
PRUDENCE NUANCE: My dog loves it. My cat disagrees. Both are right, in their own ways.

## Weather
STORMY BYTES: Good afternoon. The hype front over maker boards is mild, with scattered excitement about water sensors.
STORMY BYTES: A high-pressure system of anime nostalgia is parked over the lobby, with exhausted but happy fans.
