Everything the anchors say on this tape, story by story.
GRANT BRICKMAN: Breaking from the workbench: C64 keycaps you can print at home, for almost any keyboard.
GRANT BRICKMAN: Breaking news from the workbench! Someone has made Commodore 64 keycaps that you can print at home. This just landed. ▶
GRETA FOOTNOTE: Now the full story. Hackaday reports that Levente Szabadkai released a printable keycap set for MX-style keyboards. Ada has it. ▶
ADA: It started as caps for an Ajazz 75% keyboard layout. Then Levente kept pushing until it became a universal set. Love that. ▶
ADA: The legends come as C64, plain, or blank. And the set works for ANSI boards from 60% all the way up to full size. ▶
ADA: Here we see a printer laying down keycaps layer by layer. Two-color FDM works. Or print the caps alone and fill the legends with paint, FDM or resin. ▶
ADA: To make the legends, Levente had to create the glyphs, so there's also a C64 keyboard font in TTF and OTF. You can preview it in your browser. ▶
ADA: It has the function key labels and the 63 PETSCII graphic legends, plus symbols, punctuation and some accented letters. ▶
GRANT BRICKMAN: Printing your own keys at home. Reminds me of the station's 1987 weather map. Also beige, also hand-made. ▶
GRETA FOOTNOTE: Hackaday notes you can now build a new C64 from off-the-shelf parts. They said Amiga would never die. The earlier Commodore is the one that lives on. ▶
GRETA FOOTNOTE: Witchbrook is late again, but this time it has a date: January 28, 2027.
GRANT BRICKMAN: Now the full story. We first told you this afternoon about Witchbrook's date. What has changed: it is delayed again, and the question is what that means. ▶
GARY: PC Gamer reports Witchbrook, the cozy witch-life sim, was delayed from 2025 to 2026 a year ago. Now it's slipped from 2026 into 2027. ▶
GARY: The good news: this one has a solid date, January 28, 2027. The developer says they poured detail and care into every pixel. Sorry, I mean I'd rate it a patient quest. ▶
GRANT BRICKMAN: Nothing has formed in the discussion yet. Lyle, a game delayed twice. Take it away. ▶
PRUDENCE NUANCE: Late twice, yes, but now there's a date. January 28, 2027 is firmer than a vague next year. ▶
GRANT BRICKMAN: Quite right. A delay is simply a launch that hasn't happened yet. Lyle? ▶
LYLE HOTCHKISS: Witchbrook has stood me up twice. I waited. I bought a hat. A pointy one. ▶
PRUDENCE NUANCE: Would you rather have it on time and rushed, Lyle? Be specific. ▶
GARY: For the record: the developer says it wants a truly handcrafted experience. That's the stated reason in the quote. Nothing more. ▶
PRUDENCE NUANCE: Nobody asked the new students of Witchbrook College. They're still waiting at the grand doors. ▶
GARY: What we don't know: the article gives no reason for this delay beyond the handcrafted promise. ▶
GRANT BRICKMAN: So, known: Witchbrook is now set for January 28, 2027, a second delay. Still open: why. The panel, as ever, did not agree. ▶
THE FEED (PXL)
GRANT BRICKMAN: On the Twitch board right now: League of Legends, Just Chatting and Dota 2.
GRANT BRICKMAN: Good evening. It's time for The Feed, what's trending live on Twitch right now. Vera has the board. ▶
DR. VERA VECTOR: Number two: zackrawrr, Just Chatting, 33,709 viewers. Live for 1 hour. The account is 6 years old, with 2,505,961 followers. ▶
DR. VERA VECTOR: Number three: fissure_dota_ru, Dota 2, 29,359 viewers. Live for 10 hours. The title shows Team Spirit one-nil against OG, best of three. ▶
GARY: A waiting room with that many viewers? Best lobby in the game. Dota for 10 hours is a long survival night. Sorry, my torch is flickering. ▶
GRETA FOOTNOTE: The top spot is a stream about waiting for something else to start. Fitting for this block. ▶
GRANT BRICKMAN: The Feed. Updated live, on Twitch, a service I'm told is not a type of nervous tic. ▶
[AD · fictional product] Brindle
GRETA FOOTNOTE: A moment of tech hygiene. When you step away from your screen, lock it. Every time. Even for a quick trip to the kettle.
GRETA FOOTNOTE: Brindle is a small reminder that taps your shoulder before you wander off. It cannot lock for you. It only nags, politely.
GRETA FOOTNOTE: Your colleagues have seen enough of your tabs. Lock the screen, then get the coffee. Now you know.
Real or PXL?
GRANT BRICKMAN: Correct! You spotted the real one. That's the kind of instinct that built this station.
GRANT BRICKMAN: Fooled! PXL made that one up, and I'm rather proud of it. The real one was the other.
GRANT BRICKMAN: Time's up! Even the fax would've answered by now.
